# Oslo Runway > Oslo Runway is a national showcase platform established in 2015, and has since become a key arena for Norwegian designers, fashion and lifestyle brands. ## About Oslo Runway Through its two annual flagship events — the Oslo Runway Business Summit in May and the Oslo Runway fashion week schedule in August/September — Oslo Runway functions as a meeting place for the creative industry and provides a front-row view of the intersection between fashion, lifestyle, business and culture. The organisation's purpose is to strengthen the positioning of Norwegian designers and brands locally, as well as in targeted international markets. Through the Oslo Runway events and joint communicative efforts, the platform showcases the Norwegian way of life and Norwegian design aesthetics. Oslo Runway has received international press coverage in prominent publications including Vogue Scandinavia, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, ELLE, Who What Wear, Vogue, Scandinavian Mind, Dazed, Hypebae and Forbes. The organisation has also hosted physical showroom events in Oslo, Copenhagen and London. ## Fashion Week Oslo Runway’s fashion week schedule takes place annually in August/September. The Official Schedule showcases established and emerging Norwegian brands to press and buyers, complemented by an Off Schedule programme that highlights independent initiatives and open events across Oslo. Oslo Runway welcomes international editors, buyers, agents, content creators and industry professionals each year through its hospitality programme, creating opportunities for Norwegian brands to build meaningful global relationships. International media hosted by Oslo Runway includes Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Forbes, ELLE, WWD, Highsnobiety and Fashion Network. The fashion week schedule unfolds across carefully selected venues where fashion meets art, architecture, design and nature. Venues and cultural settings include institutions such as MUNCH and Kistefos, as well as unexpected locations. ## Oslo Runway Business Summit The Oslo Runway Business Summit is the platform's annual meeting place for professionals working across fashion, lifestyle, business and culture. Launched in 2026, the Business Summit was established to strengthen the business side of the Norwegian fashion and lifestyle industry by bringing together decision-makers from brands, retailers, investors, media and network partners for a day of conversations, knowledge-sharing and new perspectives. Each edition explores a theme reflecting the opportunities and challenges shaping the industry today. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking, the Summit creates a space where creative, cultural and commercial perspectives meet, encouraging collaboration across disciplines and contributing to the continued development of the Norwegian fashion and lifestyle industry. ## Talent Programs ### Talent Award by Steen & Strøm Talent Award by Steen & Strøm spotlights graduating students within fashion and art. ### Oslo Runway NEXT Oslo Runway NEXT is a year-round support programme for emerging Norwegian fashion and lifestyle brands. ## Oslo Runway Tribute Awards Oslo Runway presents two annual honorary awards: - Oslo Runway Tribute Award: Brand of the Year - Oslo Runway Tribute Award: Person of the Year ### Brand of the Year The Brand of the Year award promotes value creation within the Norwegian design industry and is granted to a Norwegian fashion or lifestyle brand, or a designer, that has excelled in the past year. The winner is selected by a jury among nominations from the industry itself. ## Sustainability In 2021, Oslo Runway, Norwegian Fashion Hub and Copenhagen Fashion Week joined forces to implement minimum sustainability requirements in the Norwegian fashion and lifestyle industry. Since 2024, all brands participating with a presentation or runway show during the Official Schedule of Oslo Runway's fashion week have been required to meet the minimum requirements. ## Diversity & Inclusion Oslo Runway, Norwegian Fashion Hub and Balansekunst, led by Reform Projects, have developed an industry guide with important insight, learnings, demands and reminders for an inclusive, diverse industry where there is space for anyone to work, thrive and learn. The Diversity & Inclusion Guide is intended for brands and partners working with Oslo Runway, with a strong recommendation to adapt and implement it.
