ANNOUNCEMENT

DS Automobiles highlights the next generation of designers

DS Automobiles and Oslo Runway gives the next generation of fashion designers a platform where their talent can shine. Together, we will award the DS Fashion Talent Award to one design student who excel in their field.

DS Automobiles is an iconic French brand with strong ties to the fashion industry. They share Oslo Runway's passion for design, craftsmanship and sustainability, and are therefore a proud sponsor of the platform.

The design award is initiated and operated by Oslo Runway with support from DS Automobiles. The award will be presented for the first time during the Oslo Runway in August 2022 in a runway competition for new talent.

- Oslo Runway has for long wanted to be a bridge between young talents and the established industry. We are therefore incredibly happy for the support we receive from DS Automobiles, says Head of Fashion at Oslo Runway, Ditte Kristensen.

2022 graduation students from the schools Esmod, KhiO, OsloMet and SOFI can participate in the competition. A highly experienced jury put together by Oslo Runway will nominate one student from each school based on their graduation designs. The four nominated students will be able to show their collection on the runway at Oslo Runway in August, and one of them will be named the first winner of the DS Fashion Talent Award.

By receiving more attention to their graduation shows, they can already as students strengthen the ties to the established fashion industry that they want to be a part of after graduation.

- The level of the Norwegian fashion and textile students is high, and it is a unique opportunity for students to show their work and enter Norway's largest fashion venue. It is very much appreciated that the students get a visibility that can help them further into the industry, says Karin Helene Gabrielsen from the Student Union.
