ANNOUNCEMENT

Oslo Runway announces 34 brands on the Official Schedule

Oslo Runway is excited to host a broad selection of 34 Norwegian brands and designers on the official schedule for the upcoming season taking place on August 26-31 2024. The program includes established as well as up-and-coming brands and new talents.

The season kicks off with an opening show at the iconic Grand Hotel, who celebrates their 150 years, featuring this year’s selected Oslo Runway NEXT brands - Tarinii and Murlong Cres. Several highlights will follow: the Munch Museum will host 1313 Selah’s untraditional take on a fashion presentation featuring a special appearance by the renowned artist Arif. Ambassaden - the old American Embassy - will come alive with a night of Tech Factory, featuring an unique performance with the critically acclaimed Fredrik Tjærandsen.
- This season will be a true celebration of both cultural and commercial design concepts through a variety of runway shows, presentations, curated spaces and performances. With a non-seasonal approach to the event, we want to celebrate the craft, the design and the creativity of the designers. Being able to showcase them at Norwegian institutions like the Munch Museum and the Grand Hotel makes us extremely proud, says Elin O. Carlsen, CEO of Oslo Runway.

During the days of August 26 through August 31, Oslo will come alive with an exciting event schedule of both On Schedule shows and Off Schedule happenings.

New and returning brands to the official schedule

With our beautiful capital as a backdrop, we are delighted to announce a line-up made up of both large names and new talents from the Norwegian design scene. Names such as Envelope1976, byTiMo, Pearl Octopuss.y, Woodling, One and Other, O.A.D., Line of Oslo and Livid will be returning to the official schedule.

We are also welcoming several newcomers into the Oslo Runway space this year - brands such as Kari Traa, Serena, Christian Aks, The Curated, Josephine Studio and 1313 Selah are debuting independently on the official schedule for the first time.

The talent schemes NEXT and Talent Showroom

The talent schemes are dedicated to highlight Norway’s next fashion brands and design talents. The two Oslo Runway NEXT brands Tarinii and Murlong Cres have been selected to present their collections on a runway in front of 400 guests at the iconic Grand Hotel. The collections of the NEXT brands will also be available for a re-see in the designated Oslo Runway Talent Showroom at the Polestar Space, alongside the other exciting talents Sais, Othilie Romberg and Johanna Lundell.

A renewed focus on tech

As Oslo Runway continues to explore ways to merge fashion, lifestyle, music, art and tech, we are taking it a step further into the exploration of tech and fashion as Collective Oslo Tech Factory opens its doors for a night out. In addition to inspiring talks and exhibitions, the night will feature a unique performance by the renowned visual artist Fredrik Tjærandsen.

Collective Oslo Tech Factory will also host the three Norwegian start-ups Reli, Repasdo and Cirkulær, working towards enabling a circular economy within the fashion industry.

Exploring Norwegian design at our pop-up

In collaboration with the historical Steen & Strøm, we will once again host a pop-up store featuring a selection of Norwegian designer brands. The pop-up offers easy access to the exciting brands Atelier Hinode, ESP, Tarinii, Bastante Textile, Shikita Studios, Philippa Studios, Serena, Fiol and Monuse.
