Kine Ulvestad is the mind behind the brand 2 Much Pressure, where crochet is an essential part of the clothes’ identity. Since 2017, Ulvestad has worked with excess materials, second hand yarn, ropes, ceramics and paper, to create unique and sculptural silhouettes.
Tarinii Martinsen established her brand Tarinii, with the ambition to play with the expression of menswear and explore social stereotypes. Her pieces show exceptional handcraft and are made out of exclusive surplus materials and recycled fabrics.
Last year’s DS Fashion Talent Award winner, Margaret Abeshu, continues to create a collection with a fearless approach. Abeshu has an eye for details, and her design references her personal and fragmented memories of fictional narratives in a creolized culture.
The three up-and-coming brands will get access to a mentorship consisting of experienced mentors from different parts of the Norwegian fashion industry. By sharing their knowledge, they will provide great opportunities for the participants to keep developing their brands. Their collections will be presented with runway shows, for 400 guests during Oslo Runway, in addition to being exhibited in a talent showroom at F5 Concept Store.
The Oslo Runway NEXT runway show will take place on the 14th of August. Stay updated on our social media and www.oslorunway.no/program for ticket realeases.
