“For years, we travelled to Paris, Milan and London to tell the story of Oslo. Last week, the industry came to us,” wrote Annette Lund, CEO of Promenaden, following the event.

“The State of Fashion 2026” was presented in Oslo, as Promenaden, The Business of Fashion and McKinsey & Company invited to an intimate dinner and conversation at Egertorget, co-hosted with Urmaker Bjerke.

Gathering global perspectives within a distinctly local setting, the evening highlighted Oslo’s growing relevance across fashion, retail and luxury.

“Oslo is becoming a recognized luxury destination in Europe — and part of a global conversation. Not in spite of being Oslo — but because of it.”, states Lund.

The evening reflected a broader shift, where international insight, local actors and long-term city development increasingly converge in Oslo.

Oslo Runway was represented by CEO Elin O. Carlsen. “It's inspiring to see how Annette and the team at Promenaden attract international industry voices to engage here in Oslo,” says Carlsen.

She continues: “By bringing together global perspectives and local voices from fashion, culture and hospitality, Promenaden creates an  important momentum — and shows that Oslo has a distinct and increasingly relevant voice within the international luxury landscape.”
